Herbert Eugene Miller, pictured above, couldn't stop the craving...for child pornography. So he's facing charges for using his computer in his patrol car to do so according to reports by The Smoking Gun.
Maybe it was a pop up or someone else accidentally saved naked minors to his computer, or maybe he was set up? Nope. His searches included: ‘fifth grade girls,’ ‘naked middle school girls,’ ‘young puffy nipples,’ and ‘hot high school girls naked.’ He has an illegal and sickening fetish, and that's not the worst part. He's satisfying his sweet tooth while he's supposed to be protecting and serving.
Now I know(hope) this doesn't reflect on our officers in general but with the authority to shoot and kill as they please, I say it's fair to hold them to a higher standard of not only professionalism but also humanity. He'll get a slap on the wrist, maybe do a few community service hours, and he'll be right on his way. As usual. But what is it about the job of an officer that allows for so much free time, freedom to do nothing, and why in the hell is there not a block on those damn computers when there's all of these people who need help.
That's one of the problems I have with the highway patrol. Letting officers sit back like rat traps for speeders facilitates too much free time. Meanwhile our tax dollars pays for his internet so he can surf for "hot naked 5th graders". And then we wonder why it is that in high pressured situations they can "forget" Miranda Rights or "accidentally" pull their trigger and kill someone(Oscar Grant/Fruitvale Station). It's because clearly there's no structure around their day to day operations focused on their very purpose. Are we really getting our money's worth?
